Troubleshooting
This section serves to aid in isolating and recovering any malfunctioning units so your production lines continue without any disruptions.
- Overheating Motor
For overheating motors, there is almost certainly an issue with the power supply. Check the conduit box and correct all wiring. Ensure that a sufficient supply voltage is provided.
- Dysfunctional Motor
A dysfunctional motor is a sign of increased load or voltage issues. You should firstly replace the fuse, and then check your protection device for any faults or repairs needed. Also, check the connection in the conduit box and ensure a stable power supply.
- High Current Being Drawn
If your motor is humming or drawing in high currents, it is a result of faulty winding. The rotor could also be dragging, so you need to determine the exact problem first and then make the necessary replacements for your motor or brushes as needed.
- Blown Fuse
You will need to replace the motor. Also, inspect the stator for any defects of loose wiring that might result in the ground condition. Verify that the motor is exposed to sufficient airflow for proper cooling.
- Indicators Malfunctioning
Clear or replace the lenses. You should also inspect all connections and power sources in case repairs are required. Inspect the alignment and make any necessary adjustments.
